The name came from the year of our Founder Bo Kim’s birth year and also the year 1988 means so much to the growth of South Korea as a country. The country held the first Olympics of our country in 1988 and since then, our country experienced rapid growth. We believe that the confidence and belief that we had of ourselves for the country contributed to the massive growth after the Korean war where Korea was one of the struggling countries. Hwanggi Astragalus is known for its skin “regenerating” power, its natural benefit that prevents collagen damage and aids faster healing process. It contains two flavonoids called calycosin and formononetin which a clinical study reported by Society of Korean Cosmetic Scientists showed the cream formulated with Astragalus extract significantly reduced wrinkles, confirming anti-oxidative activities, inhibited tyrosinase activity, and increased type I procollagen expression.
